Mold Assessment

Service Description

A standard Mold Assessment starts with taking a "control" air sample from outside the home. Then an inside air sample is collected. Both samples are sent to a lab for evaluation. If requested, surface samples can be taken as well for an additional cost. Our assessment also involves a complete inspection of the home for evidence of moisture, which is one of the essential environmental conditions necessary for mold to grow. During this process we use an Infared Camera which helps us identify potential problem areas. This is based on the understanding that moisture pulls heat away from a surface as it evaporates. If the camera indicates a cool spot in an area where it should not be, it is tested with a moisture meter to indicate the presence or absence of moisture. A report is then issued within 3 business days indicating the types and concentrations of mold inside and outside the structure.
